God of the Sun

.:Rhivryn, God of the Sun:.

Many days, lots of hours. I draw the Ortho in pencil and scanned it into Photoshop; took all the colors except his skin from an image of a dramatic sunset. The Action Pose I painted by hand without drawing it out on paper first, which was rather difficult for me, it was outside my comfort zone and I'm rather happy with how it turned out.

After the gods are seemingly killed in the last War of the Gods, the Sun God sacrifices his mind and body in order for his soul to be reborn as a mortal. After ~2,000 years pass, Rhivryn Shaw is born in a backwater town to unassuming parents. He goes off looking for adventure and runs into trouble. One thing leads to another and the divine Spark hiding inside him ignites, and he becomes the new Sun God and is instrumental in resurrecting the other gods.
